Career Awareness
Without awareness, it is challenging for individuals, whether policymakers, educators, teachers, or students, to envision their paths. The crucial aspect in this regard is paramount in crafting successful pathways. ‘Career Awareness’ is built upon this vital notion, prioritising two aspects of education: heightening awareness and disseminating knowledge.
In this programme endeavor, students are given the opportunity to engage and cultivate an interest in STEM careers and industries through the use of STEM education. Below are concrete examples SEAMEO STEM-ED initiated.
Career Awareness Programmes
| Enjoy Science Career Platform | SEAMEO STEM-ED has allied with the National Science Museum (NSM) Thailand, a government agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, serving as a center for promoting science education and awareness in STEM. Together, we have developed a web-based online learning platform called “Enjoy Science Careers” to provide information and establish a foundation about STEM-related careers (over 50 occupations).

| Online and TV programme: “A Mission to Achieve Your Dreams” (ภารกิจพิชิตฝัน in Thai)

SEAMEO STEM-ED has forged an alliance with Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS), a public television station operating as an independent public service broadcaster, and Be Amazing Co., Ltd., a media production agency specialising in educational material production. Together, they have produced a documentary titled “A Mission to Achieve Your Dreams” (ภารกิจพิชิตฝัน in Thai) to capture public attention and inspire the youth audience to pursue careers in STEM.
The programme comprises 22 episodes, exploring five career sectors: culinary arts, health and wellness, information technology, smart agriculture, and STEM teaching practices.
